Could Milton be getting a new café?
Most customers of Indigo Canada are aware that the major bookstore has a partnership with Starbucks Canada, leading to Starbucks franchises being located within the bookstore. However, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indigo in Milton has been without the traditional Starbucks café.
That could change.

Late November, it was announced that Indigo Canada has partnered with a new coffee company: Good Earth Coffeehouse. The first location opened up in the company’s home city of Calgary, Alberta inside the Chapters bookstore at CF Chinook Centre.

Good Earth prides itself in being a community coffeehouse with good food, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our customers an opportunity to enjoy the space and connect with one another while they shop with us.”
The opening of Good Earth’s first Indigo location kicks off the start of a growing partnership with nearly twenty locations planned to open by spring 2023. Further expansion plans include new cafés opening in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, Winnipeg and Southwestern Ontario. The inclusion of Southwestern Ontario has led many Miltonians to wonder if our local Indigo will be one of the next expansion locations.
FM 101 Milton reached out to Good Earth Coffeehouse for clarification on whether Milton is included. They were unable to confirm at this time whether Milton will be included. That said, the space that Starbucks once took up inside the local bookstore remains empty.
