It’s happening!
The Orangeville Food Bank is a-buzz with activity preparing for the Coldest Night of the Year 2022!
Teams are lining up, sponsors coming in, and the number of walkers is increasing daily.
The event takes place this Saturday February 26th, and it’s bigger than just Orangeville!
Some 13,953 walkers from 167 communities across Canada, will participate for the same magical cause – to raise awareness and funds to help the homeless, hungry, and hurting.
Fm101 spoke with students from the Leadership Class at ODSS , to talk about why they feel it’s important to participate in the Coldest Night of the Year event.
Last year, the Leadership Class raised over $8000 by handing out letters in their neighbourhoods and telling friends and family.
They ended up placing first in Orangeville and #172 nation-wide!
The link to see the class progress and donation link is here.
So, how can you help? Register to walk, sponsor a friend, or donate! If there isn’t a walker you know.
Just pick someone and make a new friend!
