After more than three decades in postsecondary education, Georgian College President & CEO MaryLynn West-Moynes, will retire in June 2022.
West-Moynes started her career at Georgian College back in 2012, bringing in a wealth of academic, administrative, and leadership experience.
Some achievements that were made under West-Moynes leadership include:
- Launching 37 new programs in response to industry and community needs, including a standalone Honours Bachelors of Science Nursing Degree
- The launch of a bold digital innovation strategy to improve student learning and service delivery
- Meaningful and authentic action toward Truth and Reconciliation through commitments agreed to when the college signed the Indigenous Education protocol in 2015

FM101 sat down with Georgian College President MaryLynn West-Moynes, to talk about her experience and impact in postsecondary education.
After your time spent in postsecondary education, and all of your successes that came with it, what are you most proud of accomplishing in your career?
