It’s Sikh Heritage Month in Orangeville.
Mayor Sandy Brown made the proclamation and acknowledged the important contributions the Sikh Canadians have made to Ontario’s social, economic, political and cultural fabric.
Brown encouraged residents to celebrate and educate themselves about the roles their Sikh neighbours have taken on in communities across Canada.
A flag depicting the Khanda has been raised at Town Hall.
