The federal government is further tightening travel restrictions in the battle against COVID-19.
The new measures are also aimed at limiting the spread of new virus variants that are more contagious.
People entering Canada from other countries will have to quarantine in special hotels that they will pay for themselves, to the tune of about two-thousand dollars each.
Major airlines are also suspending flights to Mexico and the Caribbean.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says in light of the new restrictions, the government will work with the air industry to ensure it survives beyond COVID-19.
