Dufferin OPP is warning motorists about parking prohibitions and isn’t taking any qualms about it.
Police are reminding motorists of some common places where parking isn’t allowed: in front of schools, near fire hydrants, or contrary to municipal winter parking bans.
Dufferin OPP says in the past, by-law officers have been assaulted and harassed by some of those who have received parking tickets.
The force says motorists have the right to dispute the ticket, but aggressive encounters won’t be tolerated.
