Orangeville council has agreed to pay $3 million for upgrades to the Alder Recreation pool.
Orangeville’s general manager of community services, Ray Osmond says the aging pool withstood a massive leak in August while aquatics programs continue to be the most in demand in the community.
Councillor Grant Peters voted in opposition to the upgrades and worries what it’ll mean for the town’s other recreation amenities.
Alder pool is getting a brand new stainless steel liner and an expansion to 8 lanes.
