After being released last month, it was revealed that the new Town of Orangeville Parks and Recreation Master Plan did not include any input from the Orangeville Outlaws football club.
Since their inception, the Outlaws have been at the mercy of the elements as well as the Upper Grand District School Board for when they are allowed to use the fields.
Orangeville Mayor Sandy Brown says that he would like to see an artificial turf field being built which could be used for many different sports and even possibly a field house.
Brown says he personally would choose the existing main field at ODSS, where he has also been approached by the coach of the track and field team inquiring about a rubber based track.
He says it would be a great location with change rooms available across the road at the Tony Rose arena.
