The proposed Recreation and Parks Master Plan has certainly caused a stir with residents.
The document was released late last week via the town’s website, and it quickly gained a lot of attention on social media.
Deputy Mayor Andy Macintosh addressed a concern he had with some emails at Monday’s council meeting.
Critics mostly had an issue with a consultant’s suggestion of closing down the Mill Street Public Library and moving its services to the Alder Rec Centre.
In response to the backlash and to give council time to comb through the master plan, council agreed to discuss the plan at a special meeting set for July 27th.
