It was probably the loudest Canada Day weekend in recent memory.
Although residents couldn’t gather as usual to watch the town display of fireworks, many individuals coordinated their own displays.
Unfortunately for some, it was a little too loud, and carried on too late into the night.
Several residents complained on social media that they had heard the fireworks all week long.
Orangeville Mayor Sandy Brown says he personally enjoyed the fireworks, and it’s only two times a year.
Brown adds it is also tough for police to enforce noise complaints as most home fireworks kits only last for 15 -20 minutes.
