Orangeville council has voted to cancel all special events, including Canada Day celebrations until July 6th, as COVID-19 rages on.
But that doesn’t mean Orangeville won’t be celebrating Canada Day at all.
General manager of community services, Ray Osmond says he’s working on a plan that’ll paint the town red using lighting and further decorate it with Canada flags.
He also says the town is looking into downloading a broadcast of virtual Canada Day celebrations from the federal government.
Town staff also continues to work with the BIA to develop a reactivation plan for the farmers market that’ll maintain social distancing practices.
