The Town of Orangeville has lowered its flags at town hall to mourn those who lost their lives in Nova Scotia over the weekend in a killing spree.
A gunman went on a shooting rampage early Saturday morning in Portapique, Nova Scotia and ended on Sunday, almost 100 kilometres away in Enfield.
Police say the death toll reached 23 on Tuesday, marking it as one of the worst tragedies in Canadian history.
Orangeville mayor Sandy Brown says the town wanted to stand in solidarity with the province that is reeling from the tragedy.
Orangeville’s flags will stay lowered until April 27th.
