Cara Ware is offering Canadians some perspective in this time of COVID-19 turbulence.
The UK native came to Canada 5 years ago and settled in Orangeville, but says she’s going through this pandemic separated from her family, who remain in Europe.
Ware says Europe is about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of the coronavirus wave and wants Canadians to learn from the mistakes of their European counterparts to stop the spread of the virus.
Ware says Europe was greeted by a warmer spring earlier than Canada was, and as a result, citizens were flocking outdoors, which forced their political leaders to order a complete shut down.
As the warmer weather starts to settle in, Ware asks residents to not give in to the temptation, and maintain social distancing.
She also says COVID-19 upheaval has forced Europeans to connect with the simpler things in life.
Ware says many people shacked up in small European apartments use codewords to let their cohabitants know they need some time alone to cope with being confined to a small space.
