The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Board of Health put their heads together for a meeting Wednesday night (Mar. 4); among the topics discussed — coronavirus.
Public health associate medical officer, Dr. Matthew Tenenbaum issued public health’s latest update on the bug, and spokesperson Chuck Ferguson says so far, 30 individuals in the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph area, have been tested.
However, out of those 30 tested, Ferguson says public health is still waiting on results from 8 of those cases, which are unconfirmed at the moment.
Individuals who experience respiratory symptoms and have traveled to impacted areas including, northern Italy, China, Hong Kong and Singapore, are asked to contact the local public health unit.
