Mono deputy mayor John Creelman says he wants to stay true to the original plan for Island Lake Family Park.
Councillors share concern with the proposed master plan, primarily the landscape engineer’s positioning of the tennis courts. It was moved to a more level grade to avoid having to install a retaining wall, which could cost at least $60,000.
Other concerns include the proposed tennis court lighting and lighting along the pathway.
Council has asked staff to return in two weeks with a revised master plan closer to what was originally proposed.
