Orangeville’s public library is up for an Ontario Public Library Service award.
Through the Ministry Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture, the awards recognize the innovation and excellence of public libraries.
The library’s “Cultivating a Culture of Inclusion” was submitted for the Angus Mowat Award of Excellence. It’s mission is to create a welcoming, accessible environment for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Winners will be announced in January.
In 2015, the Orangeville Public Library was one of four individuals/organizations to receive the inaugural David C. Onley Award for leadership in accessibility and disability issues.
