Ontario public elementary school teachers are moving towards a legal strike position.
The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario and the province, along with a conciliator, met today (Nov. 4) and ETFO announced it’ll request a no-board report, which may take a few days to be issued.
A no-board report is a report filed by a conciliator if the mediation process fails and it triggers a cooling off period before a strike deadline.
ETFO president, Sam Hammond says the parties will meet again next week.
Last week union members voted 98 per cent in favour of a strike.
