Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will be at Orangeville’s Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11.
Her visit was announced on Friday (Oct. 25) at the launch of the local Poppy Campaign.
Barry Kimber, president of the Orangeville Legion, says during his tenure at the Legion he doesn’t recall seeing such a high ranking official participate in Orangeville’s Remembrance Day ceremony.
The Poppy Campaign collects donations that are used to support veterans and their families.
