An Orangeville woman is dead after her vehicle slammed into the Hockley General Store early Saturday morning (Aug. 24).
Nottawasaga OPP say emergency personnel were called to the scene at Mono-Adjala Townline and Hockley Road at about 4 a.m..
Police say the lone occupant in the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman from Orangeville, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where she died.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours for an investigation. What led to the crash is unknown at this time.
