OPP SEARCHING FOR A SUSPECT AFTER A BREAK-IN IN THE FIELDSTONE SUBDIVISION
7/5/2018 10:53:24 AM

Dufferin OPP is investigating a break and enter in Mono's Fieldstone subdivision.

A suspect entered the Ellis Drive home Tuesday night (July 3).

Constable Paul Nancekivell says police are actively searching for one suspect, but couldn't provide any more details.

He adds this isn't the first break-in to occur in the area. Police have already investigated ten break and enters this year.

Nancekivell is reminding residents to secure their properties and report any suspicious activity.

At a recent Mono council meeting, members approved the installation of ten Community Neighbourhood Watch signs in the Fieldstone subdivision.

Residents initiated the project after they attended a safety and crime seminar held by Dufferin OPP.

They will be installed at the primary entrances to the subdivision.
