GARISTO WANTS TO BECOME ORANGEVILLE'S NEXT DEPUTY MAYOR
5/14/2018 2:26:38 PM

After a busy first week, no one entered the Orangeville municipal election race last week.

The nomination period is open until July 27.

So far there are six candidates seeking positions at the council table.

Nick Garisto wants to return to the roll of deputy mayor. He says lower taxes is a key part of his platform.

Garisto was the second person to put their name in the race for deputy mayor. Former Orangeville Fire Chief Andy Macintosh is also seeking the position.

Lisa Post, who ran in the last election, wants another crack at a council seat later this year.

Grant Peters, Simran Bhamu and Trevor Castiglione are also council candidates.
