It was another sold out luncheon in Orangeville to celebrate International Women's Day. In a year that has seen the birth of the #MeToo movement, Family Transition Place Executive Director Norah Kennedy says there is a definetly a different feel this year.

This year's women's day theme is "Press for Progress", a call to create gender parity. According to the World Economic Forum, it will take another century to acheive gender equality. Kennedy says by coming together, sharing our accomplishments and committing to change we can shorten that time.

FTP brought a little humour to Thursday's (Mar. 8) luncheon. Comedian and motivational speaker Judy Croon entertained the crowd while giving her seven steps to relieving stress.
