Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson is facing nomination challenges within his riding.

The Hills Times is reporting that Kevin Weatherbee, the former local Conservative Party Riding Association President and Orangeville Taxi CEO Harzadan Khattra, have challenged Tilson ahead for the riding nomination.

myFM News was able to speak to Weatherbee earlier today (Fri. Feb. 9).

We've also reached out to Tilson and Khattra this past week for comment, but have yet to hear back.

Tilson wouldn't confirm to the Hills Times if he would be seeking re-election in 2019.

The Hills Times has also reported that there has been a push from Senior Conservatives to have challengers run against a small group of incumbent MPs, including Tilson.

Weatherbee could not attest to the rumours.

Tilson is the oldest sitting MP and will turn 77 in March and tells the Times he's been told he would choose when the nomination contest would be.
