CANDO RAIL SERVICES TO CEASE OPERATIONS ON ORANGEVILLE BRAMPTON RAILWAY
2/9/2018 9:45:19 AM

Cando Rail Services is ceasing its operations along the Orangeville Brampton Railway.

Jeff Allen, General Manager of Industrial Rail Services for Eastern Canada and the U.S., says Cando plans to cease freight operations on June 30th.

Cando delivers materials to local manufacturers two days a week. It also operates the Credit Valley explorer, which will run its final trip on February 24.

Allen says they're willing to work with the Town of Orangeville to make sure there is a smooth transition for whoever replaces them.

Cando has operated the rail line for the last 18 years.
