75 PROPERTY OWNERS AFFECTED BY JUNE FLOOD APPLIED TO MINISTRY FOR RELIEF FUNDING
1/11/2018 5:16:37 PM

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs says 75 flood affected property owners in Midwestern Ontario applied for relief funding.

Last June, more than 400 homes and small business were impacted by the floods in seven municipalities including Mono and Grand Valley.

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority reported that 113 millimetres of rain fell in a short period of time at Mono Town Hall.

The deadline for property and small business owners to apply for assistance through the Disaster Relief Recovery Assistance program was December 1, 2017.

To date, the province has paid out more than $86,000 to applicants.

Unfortunately, the province can't breakdown the applications by municipality.
