REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONIES IN ORANGEVILLE & SHELBURNE

Dufferin will honour the men and women who have fought for our freedom Saturday (Nov. 11).


Remembrance Day ceremonies are being held in Orangeville and Shelburne.


Starting at 10:30 a.m., Branch 233 of the Royal Canadian Legion will march from the Orangeville Legion, east on Broadway, to the cenotaph in Alexandra Park behind Town Hall.


A march will also commence at 10:30 a.m. at the Shelburne Legion and go to the Shelburne cenotaph.


Two minutes of silence will be held starting at 11:00 a.m..


In Orangeville, a sunset service will be held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with poppies being laid at gravesites.


A public dinner will wrap up the day at the Shelburne Legion at 6:00 p.m..
