FIRE PREVENTION WEEK: O'VILLE FIRE TEAMS WITH DOMINO'S TO INSPECT HOMES DURING DELIVERIES WEDNESDAY
10/11/2017 9:36:16 AM

Orangeville Fire Chief Ron Morden says when a fire starts in your home, it's too late to plan your way out.

Fire Prevention Week started Sunday (Oct. 8), and the message this year is 'Every Second Counts: Plan Two Ways Out'.

Chief Morden urges everyone to have at least two fire escape plans and to practice them often, as fires can spread fast.

A fire escape plan includes working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, which are especially important when you're sleeping.

Orangeville Fire is teaming up with Domino's Pizza Wednesday (Oct. 11) doing deliveries. If you let firefighters inspect your home for working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and you pass, you will get a free pizza and gift basket.

On Thursday, the Orangeville Fire Department open house is from 5-7 p.m..
