MONO'S PUBLIC WORKS BUDGET IS PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE 10/10/2017 9:48:36 AM
The budget is underway in Mono and the public works department is seeking $5.1-million to be allocated towards a long list of projects.
Public Works Director Michael Dunmore says a lot of the money his department is asking for is for future projects.
That means a lot of the money will be put towards reserve funds.
Public Works is asking for $1.4-million to start road rehabilitation and drainage improvements in the Purple Hill subdivision.
The department is also asking for $1.5-million to replace a bridge on 15 Sideroad.
Mono council is set to discuss each department's budget over the coming weeks.
